Brownies go to those who have some originality, personality and hint of style to their works.

B* loves to utube all the time, so I’m often getting recs from him. My favourite recently is ”Community Channel” , a vlogger who really brings wit in every one of her videos. So many of the topics are things we don’t really think too deeply about, but always in the back of our heads. I’m sure most can relate to the stuff she says and unfortunately sometimes say “oh em gee, that’s SO true!”

On another note, I was in one of my business classes today doing a case study. Its pretty damn amazing how people come up with these fresh ideas and end up growing money bags left right and centre. Take iPods for example. Enormous database of songs? Buying songs online? Digital music? You’re thinking..er..’we’ve had that since, like, forever…’ But actually, t’was only 2001 when it was first launched. And, “iPod” ?! Did someone just think of that while sitting on the loo? In fact, after abit of research, the loo sounds about right :::

The name iPod was proposed by Vinnie Chieco, a freelance copywriter, who (with others) was called by Apple to figure out how to introduce the new player to the public. After Chieco saw a prototype, he thought of the movie 2001: A Space Odyssey and the phrase “Open the pod bay door, Hal!”, which refers to the white EVA Pods of the Discovery One spaceship.[5] Apple researched the trademark and found that it was already in use. Joseph N. Grasso of New Jersey had originally listed an “iPod” trademark with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in July 2000 for Internet kiosks. The first iPod kiosks had been demonstrated to the public in New Jersey in March 1998, and commercial use began in January 2000, but had apparently been discontinued by 2001. The trademark was registered by the USPTO in November 2003, and Grasso assigned it to Apple Computer, Inc. in 2005.[9]

The more i think about this word ‘originality’, the more i wonder what it really means. You can make people think its original, if they are unaware of the true source. I mean, a new idea probably comes from an existing one. So then, is it really original? Community Channel very much resembles another popular vlogger called ‘HappySlip’

What it really is, is a constant competition to make the thing just a little bit better than its predecessor.

Leaders only exist when there are followers.
So, then the aim is to create something worth following.
