And that is a Cambridge Satchel I see… meanwhile its coming on to the 8th week since ordering the Satchel. They must be inundated with orders I presume. Exams are creeping up, so this the heightened procrastination period. I spent half of my Sunday watching Wong Fu Productions and catching up on Fringe. Ought to get a slap on the wrist…

On the topic of Hong Kong, I saw that fellow blogger Denise had discovered HONG KONG STREET STYLE blog. Even though having been in Australia for so long, Hong Kong is still a large part of me. And because I am in Australia, it is blogs like these that make me uber excited that I can finally see the daily fashion happenings of Hong Kong.

I have an impulse to start a streetstyle blog for Brisbane. Ha!

Modern Toilet Restaurant – Everything is toilet themed… sounds gross and to be honest, didn’t really feel like eating it when we saw the menu. But, interesting presentation so good for taking photos. Tastes average.

The atmosphere in Hong Kong at this time of year is awesome. Everyone out to prepare the best family dinners, buying flowers for house decorations, preparing the ‘Lai See’ (red pockets), buying lollies and pumpkin seeds for the lolly box…ahhh so warm. We went to the Lunar New Year Fair at Victoria Park Causeway Bay. It was packed to max…. like as in everyone behind you shoving you forward, like on the MTR at peak hour in the morning… just see what I mean:

Took the fun out of it because you couldn’t really see anything if you were in the middle and awkward to stop and stare at something because it feels like you’re holding up all the traffic behind you – hundreds and hundreds of eager people. But still, I got to eat my favourite TONG CHUNG BENG (糖蔥餅) !!! Its like one of the most traditional cantonese snacks and hardly ever come across it anymore. Its crispy cane sugar with sprinkles of coconut wrapped in a soft pancake. Usually, there’s an old man pushing an old cart around selling these in limited quantities. You’re lucky to find it around these days.

HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!

One thing I noticed is the amount of buffet places there are. Is it that “all you can eat” gimmick that lures people in (esp asians cos they think they’re getting an awesome deal with unlimited amount of food)… I’ve had buffet dinners 4-5 times in this whole trip. The mentality is to eat more than the value you are paying. But at the end of your meal, I do tend to feel overloaded and so unhealthy =,= I think I’ll be living on salad and oatmeal when I go back home in Bris.

It was Maggie’s 21st party few nights ago (buffet hotpot). Happy Birthday Maggieeee!! I got to try on my new colour contacts. Actually, its my first time wearing colour cons!! Gosh I looked so different!!! I took one with the flash on and I looked like I’m from a horror movie. Freaky.

Lenovo S10-3 Netbook
A 10.1″ is a much better size to take to Uni everyday than the 15″ MBP. It will really encourage me not to multitask…its simply for internet & word processing. But I still prefer Macs!! This one looks sexy nonetheless XD

Went to Kadoorie Farm & Botanical Gardens at Tai Po today. Walked for over an hour to get up the mountain!!! There is a shuttle bus service but apparently it was full… then we saw a half empty bus going up and down WHAT ZEE HELL!? Good exercise s’pose. When we got up there, the scenery was amazing! I prefer shooting portraits and people, but I got to try out Papa Wong’s 300mm prime for shooting flowers. WHOAA! What a difference a $2000 lens makes!
