At this age, I never thought I’d be into dolls. But thought this little lady is stunning. Actually, there are so many pretty Blythes that look so beautiful and real collectors would pay a crazy amount of money to get the limited editions one. Some are over $1,000 and yes, there are people who do buy them. You’ll be seeing her in more of my pictures soon! Oh, I haven’t thought of a name for her yet. Suggestions?

There’s a time for everything, and right now that is study. So before we all hide away, we’ll just have one more night of fun. The excuse is my belated birthday party… even though my birthday was over a month ago. I can’t say it enough: THANK YOU TO ALL MY PRETTY LADIES & HANDSOME GENTLEMEN!! It means a lot to me & I’m ever so lucky to have met such a great bunch of people. Tissue please…

When you have a break, take it & enjoy it. Why only go back half-fulfilled and end up with more distractions? Its necessary to recharge and go back to reality fresh and on the ball, ready to tackle the dragging long days of boringness.

Just when you feel that life is moving a long a straight-line, being unproductive, unsatisfied, unhappy… you need to find what you’re passionate about again and feel that sense of excitement with something to look forward to.
New people comes new inspiration. More energy comes more motivation.

I was seriously due for a haircut. I had left it for some time in a very uncontrollable state, to the extent that my hairdresser expressed her shock (a few times) about the seriousness of my split ends. She assumed that I hadn’t done anything to it for one year, when in fact its been… 6 months…. ew.
Took about 10cms off, enough to get rid of most of the hairsplitting and also back to dark brown. Looking back at some photos, I can’t believe I had blonde through my hair at one stage – oh, the younger days of life.

This leads to me another point: I feel like I’ve AGED!!! Sigh… maybe I’m being a big baby, but I overwhelmed by my schedule that I just feel so old and not having as much fun. My days consists of either whole day work, work then uni, whole day uni, or lectures on Saturday. My lack of new photos is obviously an indicator that I haven’t been doing anything particularly interesting as of late. However, at the same time, I feel quite productive! You see, when you have too much time on your hands, you just drag all your tasks out over a longer period – something that takes 1 hr to complete normally will end up taking 3 or 4 hrs from all the procrastination or what I would prefer to label as “study breaks”. Now, when I’m tempted to click into every ‘recent update’ there is on Facebook, or going through all my subscriptions on Youtube, or reading EVERY SINGLE blog in my RSS, the only thing that pops to mind is that I actually have NO TIME to waste. Most of the time that would knock me back on track…

Meanwhile, my lemmings are building up and I won’t be able to hold myself back for much longer…

Feels so relaxing when everything is quiet, and still – just feeling the winter breeze. Freezing, but refreshing.
What’s perfect with this scenery is my favourite hot drink and companion: coffee & my dearest Bee. I appreciate my days off even more now that I’ve started working again. Even finishing work, coming home to cooked dinners and seeing people at home is something I always look forward to. But then there comes a time where things change – career opportunities, family circumstances, or other commitments. Its all a bit daunting to think about it, that maybe for some time you will be without those things you’re so familiar with.

Looking for something to wear for an important interview. Seeing him try on all these shirts just makes me how much we’ve grown up. We’ve come a really long way and this is another experience to add on our never-ending list. All the best!!

When it all seems to be getting too much, it really helps to de-stress a bit. I don’t know whether to be happy that I have been given awesome opportunities at this time, or frustrated that it has all come at once while I’m supposed to be concentrating on the task at hand – study. Right now, I might have dug myself into a bit of a hole by putting too much on my plate. FML.

On a lighter note, iPhone 4 is here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There has been a HUGE spike in my stats from the millions of people searching for iPhone 4 in the www. And what the hell, might as well join in on the HYPE!! I was so sure that when I got a custom-made iPhone case, that I wouldn’t really want the new upgrade of the iPhone this time around. But I want just about everything with the Apple logo on it!
It has improved most of the major downfalls of the 3Gs: Multitasking, 5mp camera with LED flash, “FaceTime” (video calling), new design and HD video. What I don’t really get is the purpose of the “micro-SIM’. I don’t see it really taking off, kind of like when Sony brought out the Sony Duo Memory Sticks. Fail much? Maybe it has some greater purpose that I don’t know about then plainly being smaller in size. The design is quite boxy as a number of people have pointed out, but as Steve Jobs said:
“You gotta see this in person. This is beyond the doubt, the most precise thing, and one of the most beautiful we’ve ever made. Glass on the front and back, and steel around the sides. It’s like a beautiful old Leica camera.”
He said LEICA! Its like the Rolls Royce in car terms, or Hermes` in handbags.

Oh btw, lesson learned recently is never have red bull first thing in the morning!!!!! I’m not the type with a weak stomach, holy I felt like i had a really bad hangover for the whole day. Really not good cos I had to stay up to finish my assignment. Or maybe it’s a combination of stress, sleep deprivation and OD of caffeine.

Feeling a little lost as to what to do now. I’m feeling a little weird now that I don’t have to rush to do another assessment. Might clear my head by doing some photo taking.

I used to really look forward to my birthday. PRESENTS!! But now, I realise I don’t really want to celebrate being OLDER and having more responsibilities that come with age. Though, the thing I look forward to the most is spending the time with friends because its the one time that you can get everyone altogether at the same time. People are just so busy these days. Oh and I’m really big on skin care right now because it will all go down hill in a few years!!!

Why is my post titled ‘upgrade’? I guess life is full of upgrades – beauty, status, money, materialistic things, car… Seems to be all these external things that people strive to achieve in life. But the most durable upgrade you can give yourself is what’s on the inside – knowledge, skills, relationships & friendships, confidence, willpower, motivation and happiness. Food for thought.

One thing I noticed is the amount of buffet places there are. Is it that “all you can eat” gimmick that lures people in (esp asians cos they think they’re getting an awesome deal with unlimited amount of food)… I’ve had buffet dinners 4-5 times in this whole trip. The mentality is to eat more than the value you are paying. But at the end of your meal, I do tend to feel overloaded and so unhealthy =,= I think I’ll be living on salad and oatmeal when I go back home in Bris.

It was Maggie’s 21st party few nights ago (buffet hotpot). Happy Birthday Maggieeee!! I got to try on my new colour contacts. Actually, its my first time wearing colour cons!! Gosh I looked so different!!! I took one with the flash on and I looked like I’m from a horror movie. Freaky.
