After missing out on the photography event by Replay Productions, I thought I would do a walkaround of the streets of Brisbane CBD. What you would normally walk passed or drive by seems different when you have a different mindset: rushing to work or to catch the next bus as opposed to walking slowly with camera in hand and with no particular purpose but to admire the scenery. The daily routine is so fast-paced that we often fail to notice little things around us. Just slow it down when you can and enjoy life.

Tip: Changing the aspect ratio (size/dimensions) of your photographs gives you a different perspective of your objects or scene. It also forces you to think about the composition and what you should include or exclude in your frame.

Feels so relaxing when everything is quiet, and still – just feeling the winter breeze. Freezing, but refreshing.
What’s perfect with this scenery is my favourite hot drink and companion: coffee & my dearest Bee. I appreciate my days off even more now that I’ve started working again. Even finishing work, coming home to cooked dinners and seeing people at home is something I always look forward to. But then there comes a time where things change – career opportunities, family circumstances, or other commitments. Its all a bit daunting to think about it, that maybe for some time you will be without those things you’re so familiar with.

Looking for something to wear for an important interview. Seeing him try on all these shirts just makes me how much we’ve grown up. We’ve come a really long way and this is another experience to add on our never-ending list. All the best!!

Well, I suppose I did get something out of the times I multitask… such as an order on ASOS!! It was the first time I ordered from them and I’m quite impressed but how quickly it arrived. Shipping costs are quite reasonable as well. However, I was a bit disappointed that a pair of shoes were too big for me so I need to return them. But keeping these!! In love with the shoes <3

No doubt anyone in Australia, well at least in Sydney or Brisbane, saw the huge dust storm that swept across the two states!! The whole sky was just orange and it felt like a massive construction site. Did some MAJOR EXFOLIATING when I got home. LUCKY MY WINDOWS WERE SHUT!!!! Or I would have seriously would have cried if I had to wipe every inch, every one of my displays and my plush toys!

It cleared up overnight and seeing blue sky again was just great!

Had a family day trip to Recliffe for some seafood. Hadn’t been there for awhile so it was pretty chill. Also had some Baskin Robbins before heading home. Discovered a new flavour: Tea & Jam Scones! Yummmmm really gotta try it. Forgot to take a pic of it.. oh well, means I just gotta go back and get some more next time.

Brisbane Ferris Wheel

Everytime I drive along the river, I’m always captivated by the brightly illuminated ferris wheel across the river at South bank.

One time, the lights didn’t seem as bright. I thought that they were already taking it down. I hope its permanent. Finally something that gives Brisbane some personality. If it was temporary, I really hope I can go on it before it comes down. ckw, I hope we don’t miss out, because I don’t remember the last time I was on a ferris wheel- if ever, as I have no recollection of it.
