    invisible man.

A very interesting collection by Liu Bolin, a contemporary chinese artist, who has cleverly painted himself to blend into his surroundings – like a ‘human chameleon’. In an interview, Liu claims he spends up to 10 hours on a single photograph. He was inspired by the sense of feeling like a social outcast.
“Some people call me the invisible man, but for me it’s what is not seen in a picture which is really what tells the story,” Mr Bolin told the UK’s Telegraph.

    freedom of speech?

So I came across this article and found it a very interesting topic.
Should bloggers be more careful when stating opinions and ranting on their blogging networks? Or should freedom of speech be preserved in such situations?
Should we be restricted in what we talk about on our own little piece of cyberspace?
If we were, I think Perez Hilton would have been out of business by now… along with all the other 10 000 celebrity gossip bloggers.

Skanks of NYC’ blogger to sue Google

A NEW YORK blogger who described a model as a “skank” is planning to sue Google for $18 million after the internet giant revealed her identity.

Rosemary Port was sued by former Vogue cover girl Liskula Cohen after Google was forced to reveal her identity following a court order, The New York Daily News reports.

Ms Cohen had sought the identity of the fashion blogger so she could pursue a defamation case against her, it had earlier been revealed.

Ms Port’s offending part of the blog – which was run on Google’s blogger.com – read “I would have to say the first-place award for ‘Skankiest in NYC’ would have to go to Liskula Gentile Cohen”.
She also described Ms Cohen as an “old hag” and a “psychotic lying whore”.

Ms Port had originally defended her actions in court, claiming blogs “serve as a modern-day forum for conveying personal opinions, including invective and ranting”, and should not be treated as factual assertions, a claim rejected by the judge.

“This has become a public spectacle and a circus that is not my doing,” Ms Port said.
“By going to the press, she defamed herself.”

The 29-year-old New York fashion student now says Google didn’t do enough to protect her privacy.

“When I was being defended by attorneys for Google, I thought my right to privacy was being protected,” she told the NY Daily News.

“But that right fell through the cracks. Without any warning, I was put on a silver platter for the press to attack me.

“I would think that a multi-billion dollar conglomerate would protect the rights of all its users.”

Her suit claims Google “breached its fiduciary duty to protect her expectation of anonymity,” Ms Port’s lawyer, Salvatore Strazzullo, said.

“I’m ready to take this all the way to the Supreme Court,” Mr Strazzullo said.

“Our Founding Fathers wrote The Federalist Papers under pseudonyms. Inherent in the First Amendment is the right to speak anonymously.

“Shouldn’t that right extend to the new public square of the internet?”

Mr Strazzullo said: “Ms Cohen loves the spotlight. She brought this notoriety on herself. Then she used a PR circus to defame my client.”

But Cohen’s lawyer, Steven Wagner, hit back saying the model was never chasing media attention.

“The idea that Liskula brought this on herself is repulsive,” he said.

“If we had thought for a minute that the Google case would have brought more attention to the anonymous blogger’s site, we never would have started it.”

    Gucci Fall Winter 09/10 Campaign.

The Making of Gucci Fall Winter 09/10 Campaign.

Overall, the shoot looks amazing. The models are very…unique. The male model at 1:41, Lord Ferdenon (?) is doing a bit of a Draco Malfoy style slash vampire – actually he nearly looks bald because his skin is the same colour as his hair. Another standout is Mona at 1:59. Just looking at the structure of her face, she seems quite masculine. Anyone agree??? Next is Christian at 2:32……. somebody give the guy some food!! This is no dissing, but admiration for the casting. Each of them have this look that lures you in. Love the ending – so dark, mysterious and artistic.

    carolines mode

Was going through my subscriptions and I think I wish I hadn’t! I know I’m in trouble when I look at anything on Stockholm Streetstyle, especially in Caroline’s blog. I gave handbags a bit of a break since I would only be living on bread and water if I kept buying handbags. The feeling of ‘look but can’t touch’ makes me sick to my stomach. I start to look away…. except its like calling me back. Then I suddenly find myself getting a calculator out trying to work out available funds, hours of work needed and balancing income and expenses- a dangerous process called self-convincing. Gimme gimme GIMME!!!

Dear Balenciaga City Silver Giant Hardware,

You are so beautiful. I want to take you out to nice places, see nice people and take you on a shopping spree.
I love the glimmer of your silver hardware and the way you can complete me and my outfits. You are my icing on my cake. Unfortunately, I can’t take you home just yet. But be patient cos you will belong with me…one day.

    Wait for me!

    xoxo,

    j.

    signs.

    A short film about communication.
Communication is probably the most important thing in any relationship.

The music composition gives the pictures even more emotion.
Take some time to watch it to the end.

Amazing what love can do to a person.

    poisoned.

First week of uni started on a rather unpleasent note. Food poisoning. UGH! Worse. Feeling. EVAR!!! So I’ve been away from cyberspace for a little while – could only be bothered to twitter and check facebook every now and then. Whilst lying rather sickly on my bed, I did discover some entertaining apps on my iphone and I’d really recommend those with iPhones to download these!!
    - Minigor [simple, cute and easy shooting game]
    - Pocketgod [you make these little guys do things-so much more entertaining than it sounds, i promise]
    - Papertoss [my record stands at 8 right now. Beat it!]
-WikiHow [a whole library of 'how-to's, e.g. How to escape from the trunk of a car] lol

I’m still in holiday mode. BADDDD!! Popped down to the Gold Coast, played some guitar heroes, hung out with some cool chickybabes and then off to Robina Town Centre for some shopping.

YAY new shoes!! I’ve always wanted shoes like these… Onitsuka Tigers in patent.

Next I wanna go get these:
    converse-leather-hi

Then I’m gonna customise my own Nike sneakers. Hip hip Hooorayy!!

I’ve been trying to find some nice rounded flats – except the only ones I adore is the Ferragamo Varina ballerina flats. The white ones are absolutely breathtaking. My feet had a slight orgasm when I tried them on. Amazing!

    inmates dance.

I was thoroughly surprised after watching CPDRC Inmates dancing to ‘Thriller’ as a tribute to MJ. Now I just came across another one of their dances to the song “Sorry Sorry” by Korean band Super Junior which I had previously posted about.
    The original…

    Inmates version..not bad!
