I know everyone is probably sick of hearing/seeing iPhone this and that… but I just needed to post its whiteness. Its so pretty and I’m in love with it. Deal with it.

Absolute favourite.

Saw Harry Potter last night and it was actually better than the previous one; though I was expecting some massive fight scene that never came. Everytime I watch a movie that’s based on a book, I go out to buy the whole series of those books but never actually read them. I’m on the first book of Twilight and Harry Potter series is still on the shelf – creaseless.

Tomorrow will be a long day.
This week will be a tiring and boring week.

After getting the iPhone 3G [S] (yes I caved and upgraded the 3G), I’ve been searching around for means of protecting it. I don’t like to admit it, but I can spend hours trying to find a nice case for my iPhone. So I’ve previously tried silicon cases, snap-on back covers, leather pouches and invisible shields. I came across these Miniot iWood cases which have impressed me the most.

What makes it even better is that you can uniquely design it yourself by selecting the type of wood and personalising it with either a logo or a message.

MUJI.

A store I really miss from HK/Japan is MUJI! They have everything there and gets me excited just like going to IKEA here, but better! MUJI emphasizes minimalistic designs, environmentally friendly & recycled products, and a strict ‘no-brand’ policy. The designs are dominantly simplistic yet classic. MUJI pretty much has all the essentials: basic fashion, home ware, bags, stationary, travels, bath & body care, furniture and electronics. I am going to raid the Hong Kong Store when I’m back. I love minimalism!

So yeah, I’ve kinda disappeared for a lil while; making the most of my holidays. A few things to say…

1. We got a NEW TV!!!!! A 46″ HD LCD!! Was a mega good deal cos we low-balled them first and they actually agreed to it! Also, we get another 22″ LCD via redemptions. Awww yeaaaaa.
2. Catching up with lots of ppl I havent seen for ages.
3. Missing my iphone…ooh can’t wait to slide my finger across the screen once again!
4. Spending way too much money – need to make new budget.
5. Hoping someone could do my tax return for me (Pls Jojo?)
6. Still laughing about Bee dropping his phone into the toilet… LOL.
7. Saw Bruno…………………. disgustingly funny… actually somewhat disturbing XD
8. Gonna start on Season 2 of Dexter this week – may disappear for a while longer.
9. Anyone have a Apple mighty mouse and the scroll ball is not scrolling properly?? Get yourself some WD-40 and clean the ball with it. Works mighty fine now!!
10. Last week, went with family to a restaurant in China Town for lunch. Jojo & I were HORRIFIED to find a HUGE HORSE FLY cooked in amongst our food. WHAT THE EFFFFFF…. What made it particularly difficult was mum knew the owner, so we couldn’t really make a scene (save mum some face). I’m gagging now that I think about it… EEEEEEEEK!!

Not too smiley after lunch…duh.

My cute g-ma was staring at me as I was going out, then she starts smiling and said I looked nice. Haha she’s so lovely… <3

A second Max Brenner Chocolate Cafe has opened at Robina Town Centre at the Gold Coast. I’ve yet to go to the one at Marina Mirage, but apparently Robina’s is bigger. Actually, I think ‘Max Brenner’ (i.e. Oded Brenner) himself was there to check out his new cafe; although I know not every bald guy with an earring is him, but he was having abit of a chat with the staff and even took a group photo & I don’t think any bald guy would be taking photos with staff. [Confirmed - google searched him; Max Brenner is actually founded by Max Fichtman and Oded Brenner, but Max Fictman is no longer associated with the Max Brenner cafe chain.]

Love everything about it: the exterior, wooden interior, the logo & of course the food and drinks.

Although its already been quite a few days since the death of Michael Jackson, the late king of pop, I feel the need to pay a tribute to him. I’ve been trying to find as many of his CDs/DVDs as I can around. Dad was wondering why I was trying so hard to find his CDs since I’m not really a die hard fan or anything. Well, MJ’s music is everywhere – you come across it heaps in movies and soundtracks, or sometimes randomly just break down in to MJ mood singing “beat it” or “don’t stop til you get enough”, or when some tragedy on the news occurs, first song that comes to mind is “heal the world”. Bee and I were actually trying to teach ourselves how to moonwalk just a few weeks back.

Its unfortunate how the fame put so much pressure on him that his life eventually became a circus. He seemed to have such high expectations of himself and wanted to remain the best of the best. Because of these expectations by him and the media, he pushed himself until he could push no more. Some one on twitter was point out the way the media spend their time digging all the dirt they possibly could on the star while he was alive, but glorify him when he passes away. Effing hypocrites.

Staying stylish – wearing Balmain!

MJ’s voice is so versatile. In Jackson 5, his solos were amazing – ‘I’ll be there’ just gives me goosebumps.

He speaks so gently, but the words in his songs and his singing is so powerful – feel the effect of MJ in ‘They don’t care about us’.

Now he’s moonwalked to the pearly gates & keeps on rockin’ in heaven.
