Cloudy day today had me sleeping then rushing to work.  Then my collegue bailed on me cos apparently she couldn’t find her keys.  Ok. So working by myself and people are still on holidays.  Quiet as expected so it gave me some quality time with dearest youtube (right now its keeping me sain at work).  I somehow came across a video in the “related videos” box on the right: a Japanese game show.  Gotta love the Japs for being so creative!

I’m currently loving The Ellen DeGeneres Show and the Tyra Banks Show!! Hilarious~~

summer christmas

 Seemed like only just yesterday since we celebrated Christmas – traditionally spent at mum and her bff’s place for dinner then mahjonging for the adults overnight.  This year was a little different:  buffet dinner at Korean BBQ then off to party at the Mantra.  Organising for an event always causes some stress and unplanned things to happen.  But this was totally worth it.

I’ve been quite focused on work in the past month. Although I don’t do any heavy lifting or anything physically strenuous, work has been very tiring. Standing is tiring. Talking is tiring. Boredom is tiring. Hence, by the time I finish work and prepare myself for the fun stuff afterwards, I have no energy & feels like I’m very laggy. Maybe I’m getting over loud and crazy stuff lately. Instead, I have a preference for chilling at a cafe` or chatting over nice dinner or drinks at a lounge; watch DVDs/dramas. Hope after this christmas crazy time, I’ll have time to refresh myself.

The best way to learn photography is to do as many shots as possible.
Here is where my learning begins. I’m trying hard not to look like such a beginner, but it still takes me a little while to tweak the right settings on the camera – even simple things like white balance, ISO and exposure requires learning and experience because you just have to try out what the best settings are for the particular situation.

let me introduce you to my D90.

The choice between Canon and Nikon just got too overwhelming. Even the sales guy at JB Hifi was relieved that I finally made a choice and stop going into the store to perve on the cameras… ha! Although it was about a $400 difference between Canon 450d and Nikon D90, D90 is definitely worth the extra. Feels more sturdy, built quality not as plastic (though can’t really say much about image quality yet!)
