A second Max Brenner Chocolate Cafe has opened at Robina Town Centre at the Gold Coast. I’ve yet to go to the one at Marina Mirage, but apparently Robina’s is bigger. Actually, I think ‘Max Brenner’ (i.e. Oded Brenner) himself was there to check out his new cafe; although I know not every bald guy with an earring is him, but he was having abit of a chat with the staff and even took a group photo & I don’t think any bald guy would be taking photos with staff. [Confirmed - google searched him; Max Brenner is actually founded by Max Fichtman and Oded Brenner, but Max Fictman is no longer associated with the Max Brenner cafe chain.]
Love everything about it: the exterior, wooden interior, the logo & of course the food and drinks.

Tags: Michael Jackson, MJ, Tribute
Although its already been quite a few days since the death of Michael Jackson, the late king of pop, I feel the need to pay a tribute to him. I’ve been trying to find as many of his CDs/DVDs as I can around. Dad was wondering why I was trying so hard to find his CDs since I’m not really a die hard fan or anything. Well, MJ’s music is everywhere – you come across it heaps in movies and soundtracks, or sometimes randomly just break down in to MJ mood singing “beat it” or “don’t stop til you get enough”, or when some tragedy on the news occurs, first song that comes to mind is “heal the world”. Bee and I were actually trying to teach ourselves how to moonwalk just a few weeks back.
Its unfortunate how the fame put so much pressure on him that his life eventually became a circus. He seemed to have such high expectations of himself and wanted to remain the best of the best. Because of these expectations by him and the media, he pushed himself until he could push no more. Some one on twitter was point out the way the media spend their time digging all the dirt they possibly could on the star while he was alive, but glorify him when he passes away. Effing hypocrites.
At his best, and best look.
Staying stylish – wearing Balmain!
MJ’s voice is so versatile. In Jackson 5, his solos were amazing – ‘I’ll be there’ just gives me goosebumps.
He speaks so gently, but the words in his songs and his singing is so powerful – feel the effect of MJ in ‘They don’t care about us’.
Now he’s moonwalked to the pearly gates & keeps on rockin’ in heaven.
Rest In Peace.

Tags: Megan Fox, Movie, Revenge of the Fallen, Shia LaBeouf, Transformers
So the holidays are finally rolling. Actually, most of my time is spent on trying to catch up with all the stuff I’ve missed while hiding out during the semester. Sad.
Bee and I went to watch Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen at gold class. We hadn’t come across a movie worth going to gold class for… until now. Straight after the movie, we said we’ll go watch it a second time before it stops showing on the big screen. Whole movie was hotness~~ Shia…Megan…Optimus Prime (esp the scene where he merges with another…all that metal rawwrrrr) XD
Oh, and we bought the DVD of the first Transformers movie straight after.
Still up atm, so I thought I’d make a short post since I’m procrastinating anyway.
It was probably the coldest night ever a few days ago at 4 degrees. Been really good with going to library during the week for some intense study. Lucky to have my girl L there with me to keep me sane. Library atmosphere is so much better than being at home sometimes imo. Feels kinda guilty to procrastinate while other ppl are around you studying their asses off. Towards the night, you start to see quite a few ppl rocking up in their PJ’s, blankets and ugg boots. Comfy as, though I would most likely just feel like sleeping if it’s too comfortable.
All wrapped up. Couldn’t leave the house without at least two jumpers, and either beanie or scarf…or both.
Well looked after by darling Bee. Cooked me lovely meals and kept me warm!! This is what I love most about winter <3
Reviving my first Lomography camera: Holga. Buying this camera was probably the starting point of my photography obsession. I didn’t use it much though (and actually ruined my first roll of film and gave up); but a friend has really gotten into it so its inspired me to dust it off and take it out of the box once again. Thanks to A for the 120mm film pronto! Really needed a bit of colour and fun after being overwhelmed with study. I’ll definitely make the most of it!!
My camera count is up to 5; with more to follow! wOOT!
The new iPhone – “3G S” has just been officially announced.
While its physiques remain much the same as the iPhone 3G, its really the guts that has been beefed up. It comes with larger storage (16GB and 32GB models), 2x times faster processor speeds than its predecessor, 3.2 Megapixel auto focus camera, video recording, and everything else the new OS features. http://www.apple.com/au/iphone/iphone-3g-s
Apple iPhone 3G S will be available in Australia on June 26th. All those with the current iphone can upgrade their software on June 17th!! My favourite features of the new OS are MMS, landscape keyboard, spotlight search (search anything in your phone, emails and ipod). See the other features here: http://www.apple.com/au/iphone/softwareupdate/
I actually expected it to look a little more “new” physically so a bit disappointed in that regard. But definitely could do with the faster speeds of the iphone 3G S. Thinking I should wait until I upgrade my current iphone to the new OS until I decide whether or not new physical iphone is worth buying.
haha, i was just reading and watching youtube about the iphone 3g s, eventhough its still all basic features, im soo getting it now i think the apps are really cool, after looking at my friend’s one =D
ALLPHONES told me the iphone is coming in mid july…..so even if they said coming out on june 26th…may be delayed? cos most phones are?? (i hope not cos once i want something, i want it now! lol)
how fast is faster? if its not that much faster, not worth it. my friend said he will just upgrade the software.
Hmm I have mixed feelings about it: maybe just software update but i really like the video recording feature (which I’ve been told its not available in the software update). Its apparently twice as fast as the current one. Help me get rid of my current one first! XD any takers want a iphone 8GB? heheee I wanna see what the htc magic is like as well. Beckie, you’re becoming so geek chic and down with the techshizz :p haha
It’s like there’s a angel-me to the left and a devil-me to the right.
Angel-me is telling me I should study my ass off and that I’ll have plenty of time in the holidays to play and shop.
Devil-me is saying I should really chillax cos its really not as hard as it seems; still have 8 more days until the first exam!
Angel-me is losing right now. HARDEN UP!!!
Anyways, dunno what came over me last week, but I really want to pick up the guitar again and actually learn it. I started playing in high-school (some 8 years ago) but played less and less since other interests took over…(hmm yes, I do have a tendency of acquiring new interests really quickly). I’ve been playing the acoustic in my study breaks – just trying to play the oldies but goodies like Jewel, Michelle Branch, No Doubt and Beyond. I can’t decide whether to get a new acoustic or a new electric or a new amp? Though I have really fallen in love with this Epiphone Les Paul Custom:
I’ve noticed that I rarely come across anyone who actually plays an instrument these days. I know back in school nearly half of the class was in the school band. Is it too geeky to still play? What I’d really like to know is, if you played an instrument before, what did you play? Do you still play or not? If not, why did you stop?
I heard from my friend that the New Moon book is the most boring out of the series. Apparently the directors changed the story abit so its more entertaining? Hm, we’ll just have to watch the movie i guess!
